A turnkey business, not a land purchase.
Spanish beaches are public maritime-terrestrial domain — nobody owns the sand. What changes hands on Burriana Beach is the operating business itself: the equipment fleet, the brand, the staff, and the right to run that business on a specific stretch of beach, granted by Spain's coastal authority through a concession.
Most changes of ownership happen through a traspaso — a business transfer — where the incoming operator takes over the existing business and applies to have the concession reassigned, subject to the authority's approval. A turnkey listing includes the equipment fleet, the kiosk or storage unit, staffing continuity, and current safety certifications.
This region is not an active project yet — we're currently focused on the Algarve. Everything below reflects our plan for when Nerja opens up.

No — Spanish beaches are public domain and cannot be privately owned by anyone. What you're buying is the operating business and the right to run it on a specific stretch of beach via a municipal concession.
How long does a concession last?
It depends on the tender and the municipality, and the rules have changed over time. We confirm the specific, current remaining term for every listing with the coastal authority before you commit to anything — we don't quote a generic number.
What's included in a "turnkey" listing?
The existing equipment fleet, the kiosk or storage unit, an operating staff structure (ideally with continuity through the handover), current safety certifications and insurance, and support through the concession transfer process.
Is Nerja an active project right now?
Not yet. The Algarve is our one fully active region today — Nerja is a region we haven't started working on yet. Everything above reflects the plan for when it does open up, not a current listing.
